It’s easy to get distracted with all of the Super Bowl hype in Kansas City this week but we want to remind out customers that after Friday January 31st, 2020, we won’t be selling flavored vape pod refills any longer. At Smoke Tokz Olathe Vape Shop, we understand that this pretty much sucks for many vapers that have used pods to kick their smoking habit (like the guy writing this blog) but we have no choice as the FDA’s ban will take effect on February 1st.

Our inventory is not what used to be for flavored vape pod refills but we still have some left and rather than throw them away (which is what we’ll have to do if we don’t sell them) we’d prefer to save our customers some money and help them stock up. If tobacco or menthol pods are your thing then you don’t have anything to worry about because those two flavors are not part of the ban and Smoke Tokz Olathe Vape Shop will continue to stock them as long as our customers want them.
The good news is that disposable pod vapes won’t be part of the ban and since they come in tons of flavors (with new ones being added all the time) and they vape very similar to those with replaceable pods. The main difference is that you never have to refill them because once they are empty, you simply throw them away. We’ll continue to add more disposable pods vapes as many of our customers have told us that they are a pretty solid alternative to pod vapes like JUUL, Phix, and Blu.
It’s also worth noting that flavored vape juice/e-liquids are not part of the ban either. These vape liquids come in literally hundreds of flavors but do require a mod style vaporizer which the FDA has called “open tank vaping devices”. Mods allow you to truly customize your vaping experience by making minor adjustments to temperature that make a big difference in how you vape.
